Country star, Dolly Parton has always got a funny quip up her sleeve but she’s also got plenty of inspiring advice too.
Dolly, 75, is best known as a singer of course, but this lady has had her fingers in many pies for decades. She’s been in various movies and she has opened her own successful theme park and resort, aptly titled Dollywood. Plus she also started a production company that made hits such as Father of the Bride. Another show her production company were behind was Buffy the Vampire Slayer. And when Dolly heard that there was a pay disparity on set, with a female producer earning less than her male counterparts, she stepped in and put it right.
Dolly Parton has said in the past that she is well aware people underestimate her, but that she works that to her advantage. “You know, I look like a woman, but I think like a man. And in this world of business, that has helped me a lot. Because by the time they think that I don’t know what’s going on, I then got the money, and am gone.”
