The full Downton Abbey Preview has dropped!
We have some good news for Downton Abbey fans! The follow up to the 2019 film is due to hit the big screen in spring next year. However the makers have released a short preview to give us a taste of what to expect.
‘Downton Abbey; A New Era’, is creator and Oscar Winner, Julian Fellowes latest offering.
It seems the Dowager has mysteriously acquired a luxurious villa in the French Riviera.
She says. ‘Years ago before you were born I met a man. Now I’ve come into the possession of a villa in the south of France’. And with that I will say goodnight and leave you to discuss my mysterious past.”
The trailer also shows that Tom Branson has eventually found love with former maid, Lucy Smith after the death of his wife Sybil. Lucy travelled to Dowton Abbey with her employer, Lady Bagshaw (played by Imelda Staunton). Lady Bagshaw was part of the Royal entourage we saw descend on the castle in the last film.
Creator, Jullian Fellowes, told etonline.com. “It gave me the opportunity to have a love story with one of our long-running and favorite characters. I wanted to make a romance for Tom.”
Dominic West and Jonathan Zaccaï have joined the all-star cast, which incudes Michelle Dockery, Joanne Froggatt, Jim Carter and Hugh Bonneville.
Downton Abbey will be in cinemas from the 18th of March next year.
