In one of her recent posts, Paula shared some inspiring words:

“I’ve been quiet because I sort of fell out of love with the world for a while unusual for an optimist like me. But I knew not to fight it in the hope that it would probably be temporary. And thankfully it was just a short lived blip.

“I have my health, I have my family, I have a roof over my head and I have much to be thankful for. The thing is it’s hard to stop your heart aching for those who don’t have those privileges, and it’s hard to prevent sadness from taking over when you fear that the world seems consumed with turmoil, divisiveness and hate in one direction and is falling prey to ill health in the other.

However, there are shoots appearing in my garden as well as in my mindset, and I have learned that sometimes it’s good to focus on the small things for a day or two such as tidying my garden and eating cake.

So that’s what I did, and now I’m back with a full stomach and tired limbs but a happier heart.”
