Since the start of this series of Strictly, rumours have been rampant about Giovanni’s love life.
In the summer Giovanni was dating Love Island star Maura Higgins, but the pair ended their relationship a few months later. Next, seeing the wonderful friendship blossom between Giovanni and his Strictly dancing partner, Rose Ayling-Ellis, many fans were hoping the pair would fall in love. Those close to Rose and Giovanni say they have a ‘special kind of magic’ together, and a bond that no one saw coming.

Their bond was never more evident than during the captivating performance the pair did on the show a couple of weeks ago, when the music stopped and the audience got a feel of what it’s like for Rose when she dances, everyone had goosebumps. And when the mic picked up Giovanni whispering, “I love you,” once they had finished their dance, fans thought their wishes were coming true.
Giovanni has gushed in interviews about how working with his partner this year has really had an impact on him, “Working with Rose on Strictly has been just incredible. Of course she’s an absolute inspiration to me, but also for so many in the deaf community and beyond. The reality is, she’s making history as the first deaf person to compete on Strictly – what an achievement. What a brave thing to do. Of course it’s about the dancing, but the show is about so much more, and that’s what Rose represents.”
However, Rose actually has a boyfriend who she has been with for seven years, Samuel Arnold. And the couple appear to be very much still together.

This week reports then emerged that Giovanni was dating another TV star, Made in Chelsea’s Verity Bowditch.
